Your Bright Future

before Dominique, I walked around museums like a dummy without history for all my boring opinions

LACMA was where she taught me. I was her adoring student. She knew everything about art

the greatest works to the lamest crap

she knew and loved so much and many cool things, people, animals and families

her generosity was a passion

O Dominique. We are missing you! And don't you know that we all love you still and forever!

LACMA lost you as the greatest expert. and mine

We treasured the stories you would tell about shitty O.C. and bad ass Paris. and the way you threw your head back with a wide open laugh. So bold. The one woman in any room was you.

I liked it when you said in the middle of the French Impressionist building "I'm Crazy! No, I mean it, I'm Crazy!" and we both started crying in this beautiful daytime ambient light. We were so clean. And funny. I loved us.

Your boldness isn't over

I'm going to carry it on and keep dying it wild and outrageous colors

and be the artist that I always complained to you about not bieng

to thank you Dominique

Thanks For Letting Me Get To Be Your Friend

it's so sad Darling Dominique

I meant to do LACMA with you soon. You weren't supposed to

I will always hear your voice when I look at fashion, painting, sculpture, pen and ink and fluffy cats.

and try to be as generous as Dominique

both of us will

this is all still hitting me now. writing about my friend is making me cry. we will never see her again. just memory

she always said not to give a fuck, when I said I was worried about STUPID shit. i'll get tougher D., I promise

You are a beauty and wonderful woman. Eternally. Infinity.

let us down easy
