Ramones - End of the Century

Barbara and I watched the Ramones documentary End of the Century last night. I was suprised how cold Johnny was about his friendship with Joey. It really bummed me out. He was really nice the two times my band Chemical People played with them. I remember we were playing with the Ramones in San Diego and during our set I called the other guys over and said, "Look over there, Dee Dee is watching our set." It didn't matter how packed the show was, we played that show for Dee Dee. This is my ticket from the last Ramones show ever.

Do you know what 2257 is? You may be surprised how much it effects you. It's one of the many pointless, waste of the taxpayers money, regulations John Ashcroft left behind, when he stepped down, for new DoJ, Alberto Gonzales to take over. It looks very appealing to registered votes when they see the words "Child Protection", but many people only look at the headlines and listen to the sound bites. This is just a way for the government to try and eliminate porn. This has got NOTHING to do with child protection and everything to do with Bush and his faith. I got tickets to see Nine Inch Nails in October at the Hollywood Bowl. I dig their new record. I watched the Spike Jonze skate video "Yeah Right!" over the weekend. Nice Owen Wilson appearance, too. Great stuff.

Chemical People - MPLS 1989

The Basement Tapes just added a Video of a Chemical People show from May 1989 at 7th St. Entry in Minneapolis, MN. This is the small room at 1st Avenue where they filmed Purple Rain. Primus was playing in the big room that night. The video will be up for the month of June. I'm on drums.

Flower Tucci - Big Butt

Pixies - The Wiltern

Barbara & I went to the Pixies show last night and they were amazing. Almost no talking between songs, they just kept on playing and they didn't miss a beat. For a band who doesn't get along, they certainly use the tension to their advantage.
We're going to Carlos Batts' American Gothic show at Clair Obscur Gallery tonight.
