Mark Gonzalez - Dizzy

I watched the Mark Gonzalez DVD Dizzy. This Documentary is 3 days in the life of ex Pro Skater/ Artist, Mark Gonzalez- you may remember him from the Harmony Korine movie Gummo or the short films he did with Spike Jonze. It's short, but entertaining. There were only 1500 of these made. I found it on Ebay for $50.00.

Samantha Ryan - Leg World

I don't hate Carson Daly, but sometimes when his show is on I find myself saying, "Shut the fuck up" to the tv, then I change the channel.

Tiffany Limos - Ken Park

I know you've heard me go on and on about how amazing Ken Park is and since I found this great photo from the movie, I'll keep on ranting. If you get the DVD from Amazon or Ebay, keep in mind, it won't play on U.S. players. Unfortunately, I don't think the uncut version of this movie will ever be released in the U.S. Larry Clark just premired his new film "Wassup Rockers" at Sundance. Larry Clark, Nan Goldin & Diane Arbus are the reason I took up photography.

The Pleasure's All Mine - Joan Kelly

My friend Joan Kelly's first book The Pleasure's All Mine: Memoir of a Professional Submissive was just released and I shot the cover. In the book Joan talks about being a professional submissive (Marnie) and her sometimes sexual encounters with her clients.

I shot Brea Bennett Monday. She's the most recent contract girl for Club Jenna. Congrats to Brea she's a cool girl and great model. I took this shot of her when she arrived with no make up.

I went to Eon McKai's Neu Wave Hookers DVD release party on Friday. It was a fun time and a fun crowd including: Charlotte Stokley, Riley Mason, Joanna Angel, Dana DeArmond, Leah Luv, Hillary Scott, Felix Vicious & Eon.

Y Tu Mama Tambien

Y Tu Mama Tambien is kind of like if Stand By Me were Spanish and directed by Larry Clark. I first saw this movie last year and loved it. I just watched it again and it may be the best coming of age movie ever made. The DVD also has a short film by Writer: Carlos Cuaron.

Montanna Rae - Leg Show - Nick Cave & Award Shows

With all of these awards shows coming up and the Golden Globes, happening yesterday, you have to wonder how much it takes to make the movie and music industry people feel good about themselves. In 1996 Nick Cave wrote a letter to MTV asking to have his nomination and any future nominations removed from their awards show. Check it out. It's pretty amazing.

Loretta Scars - Tight

It's great that Brokeback Mountain won those Golden Globes (well, I didn't watch, but I did see it on the news). I'm sure the religious right are furious.

The Piano Teacher

I saw the French film The Piano Teacher yesterday and loved it. Isabelle Huppert won Best Actress at Cannes for playing this masochistic, complex character. Benoit Magimel won Best Actor as well. I hope they never attempt an American remake of this one. The DVD has the unrated version and includes an interview with Isabelle Huppert.

Devo Live

I saw DEVO last night and they were amazing. Marc Mothersbaugh's voice hasn't changed and Josh Freese was tearing it up on the drums. Great show.

The Fog of War - Robert McNamara

I saw The Fog of War on Thurs night and I was glued to the screen. Friday night I saw it again. In this documentary Robert McNamara talks about the Cuban Missile Crisis & the Vietnam War. Seeing this movie now with what's going on in the Middle East is scary. You have to wonder what stage we're in. Especially with no exit strategy . There’s a great quote in the movie, “Never answer the question that is asked of you. Answer the question that you wish you had been asked of you”.

Cali Marie & Cherish - Taboo

The February 2006 issue of Taboo came out and it features a layout I shot of Cali Marie & Cherish. These twins are fun and they do dirty things. When I worked with them, they took a smoke break while tied up. I asked if they wanted to be untied and they said, no. I wish I had my video camera. It was interesting to watch.

General Idi Amin Dada - 1974

I saw the Barbet Schroeder film General Idi Amin Dada. This film is a must see. Barbet Schroeder approached Amin about doing this film as a "Self Portrait" and insisted Amin be in every scene. Amin agreed and ending up scoring the film as well. After it's release Amin called Schroeder and insisted two minutes be cut out of the film. When Schroeder refused, Amin held a hotel full of French Citizens (including children) hostage and gave them Schroeder's phone number. Schroeder cut the two minutes out, so the hostages would be set free. He later added them back to the film. The Criterion DVD has an interview with Barbet Schroeder that you have to watch after seeing this film. Some of the stories he tells are quite incredible.

2006 - Fresh - Girls of Seduction

I'm looking forward to 2006. I have a new 367 page hardcover book that will be out in the U.S. later this year. It's on Goliath and titled "Fresh - Girls of Seduction". My friend Madena came up with the title "Fresh" and Chas Ray Krider came up with the "Girls of Seduction" part. This photo is from a New Year's party I went to with Steve Diet Goedde. in the photo are: Steve, Holly Randall & myself.
