The Flaming Lips - At War With the Mystics

The Flaming Lips new album At War With the Mystics is excellent. The first time I heard it I wasn't sure if I liked it, but now it's in heavy rotation in my car. Mr Ambulance Driver & Pompeii Am Gotterdammerung are my favorites. Pompeii Am Gotterdammerung sounds like Pink Floyd playing Jazz. Barbara & I use to see the Flaming Lips play all the time. What an amazing live band.

Pixie

I shot Pixie today. For the first time in a while, I just shot some personal work on my Leica MP. This was a digital I took so I could see how the light looked. I'm looking forward to seeing how the real photos look. Nothing compares to the real thing. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I saw Thank You For Smoking for the second time over the weekend. I don't get out to that many movies, but I really liked this one. Aaron Eckhart was great as usual. I'm a big fan of Neil LaBute's films and Aaron Eckhart stars in the best ones.

Bukowski - Born Into This

I picked up the Charles Bukowski Documentary Born Into This today. I've been a dedicated Bukowski fan since I quit school and traded my textbooks for Bukowski's writing. There was some great footage and interviews, although I could have done without the Bono interviews. What the fuck was the director thinking? Everything else was great.
